Shelby Rowe Visual Identity

Who I Am

In 2016, I had the incredible honor of being named the Chickasaw Nation Dynamic Woman of the Year. That event changed my life and brought me back home to Oklahoma to be closer to my family and my people.

I am a self-taught Indigenous bead artist specializing in custom beadwork and Native American bead art.

What I Do

I create archive-quality beaded wearable art and wall art, specializing in custom commissioned beaded portraits and designs—transforming ideas into timeless, one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate personal style, family stories, and my Chickasaw heritage.

SHELBY'S PROCESS

EVERY PATTERN, EVERY STITCH, EVERY BEAD IS WOVEN WITH PRECISE INTENT

Respect

Respect

Respect for the story being told, respect for the person and/or people whose story is being told, respect for the high quality materials used to create each piece.

Uniqueness

Uniqueness

Each piece is distinctly unique, either in color, design, size and story. No two pieces will ever be exactly the same, because no story or experience is the same.

Handmade

Handmade

Each piece is conceived, planned and lovingly brought to life by me and select assistants. Every bead sewn is done with love for the process, attention to detail, and respect for the story being told. Precision. Every pattern, every stitch, every bead is woven with precise intent.
